Biography

I received my Bachelors of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Purdue University in 2004, Master of Science from New York Medical College in 2006, and have been a practicing speech-language pathologist since 2006. I have enjoyed practicing at Loyola University Medical Center, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children's Memorial), and Wee Care Therapy, Ltd. I was extremely fortunate to join Governors State University in January 2018 as an adjunct instructor, and was hired as full time faculty in August 2018. I thoroughly enjoy working with young children and their families to meet early social, speech, and language milestones, as well as targeting feeding and swallowing goals; I have a passion for children with complex medical needs, and those with autism spectrum disorder. I am passionate about shaping the next generation of Speech-Language Pathologists, and hope to instill a passion for humanity and empathy into each future clinician. I currently teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate CDIS programs, as well as provide direct clinical supervision for community based speech-language services.
